Mariners vs Red Socks
Today I went to my first baseball game ever! It was amazing! The crowds, the noise, the excitement and sunshine. It was great. Mariners won at the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs. It was spectacular.

4/28
I know I have been inconsistent recently with this site and I am sorry to those who are saddened by the lack of writing. It is not that there is nothing interesting to write about or that I am to busy, it is more a feeling of laziness or apathy. Not to get your hopes up because I will still probably be inconsistent in the future.
So, it has been sunny the past week and it is amazing how nice the weather is up here. It is perfect and I would not want to be anywhere else. I have been outside so much recently, Frisbee, softball, catch, sailing, soccer, walking and napping. It is wonderful.
Tristan Deniet is coming up this weekend. That should be super sweet and I am excited to have another guest in our room. It was almost getting to quiet here. We have had guests in our room for 13 out of the 30 days of school this quarter.
Lets see, what else is going on up here...well, lots and its all to much to write through so let me focus in on...well, nothing in particular. School this quarter is a lot easier than I expected. 2 of my classes don't require any work outside of class so I just have to study for them around test times and then the Statics class is much easier than I anticipated. It seems very straight forward to me and I pick it up very quickly. The only class that takes a lot of time is this Physics class and even that one is very manageable. It is a wonderful thing since the weather is so nice out all the time.
Okay enough talk, back to work. If you want me to write about anything particular, let me know.

Prophesy
Some of you may be confused or in doubt or maybe even a little nervous about this but that is okay. I am not asking you to embrace this but I am telling you all because it is Awesome and God is Awesome.
Last night started off for me around 6:15 when I went with a couple of friends to the Healing Rooms. It is a ministry that you can look up online if you are wondering since I will not be going into it now. It was wonderful and the people who prayed for me really ministered to some stuff in my life that was really weighing me down. I would love to talk to people about it but I am not going to write it down here as much of it was personal and between God and me.
At 9pm about 10 of us gathered in a classroom on campus and we had a prophesy party! That is right, a prophesy party. What do I mean by that...well, it started with Sean Edwards, my close friend giving a quick class or lesson on the purpose of prophesy, the difference between old testament prophesy and new covenant prophesy and a few of the techniques that peopel find helpful in hearing Gods voice as well as what to expect. Then he prayed over all of us and anointed us with the gift of prophesy. Then for the next 1.5 hours we practiced different ways of prophesying over each other. After that it was around midnight and so some people left but about 8 of us stayed and thats when it got crazy. We had one person sit in the middle of the circle and then everyone else prophesied over them. It was so much fun and so inspiring. I was up until around 1:30 last night and it was beautiful.
Now, let me just clarify some things. I am very new to prophesy and so am still learning quite a bit. I am not a proficient prophetic voice and I do not claim to be but there is a joy in my heart that is impossible to describe when I discern God's voice and see a glimpse of how Gods sees someone.
Some of you probably doubt or feel uncomfortable about this or may even be wondering what kind of group I have become involved with. That's okay. In the past year and a half my relationship with God seems like it has been on steroids and it is wonderful. I have seen such dramatic growth in my life, in my perception of God, how he interacts with us. Much of my theology has been questioned and has changed in such dramatic ways that I find it hard to describe. My perspectives are changing and I am more sensitive to the supernatural and it is so good. God is so good.
I am finding it hard to describe in words the emotions that I am wishing to convey. The peace and joy as well as the feelings of Gods overwhelming presence are beyond what I can express in words in such a short time.
There you go, that is what is going on in my life, at least very recently. I hope this finds you well and in good spirit. I am doing very well and God is providing for me in so many ways. I have never had a busier quarter than this one with all the non-school related things going on but by the grace of God I having time for everything and more. It is so strange how that works, God can alter time...at least in such a way so that I can do more than I thought possible.

Griff
Sorry that is has been so long since I last posted. I have been very busy and have not really felt like writing anything.
So the last few weeks have been hectic. Griffin was up for about 5 days last week and that was great. We went to class, ate meals, went to a movie and a concert and he got to meet a lot of my friends. I had a great time with him and was able to have some really good talks with him. I would love to put up pictures but I diddnt take any. :(
The same day Griffin left, my friend Sean arrived here. He is staying up for a week during his Easter break and so we have another guest in our room. It is great fun but I am having a little trouble with getting enough time for school.
So I wrote this a few days ago and I just havent finished it so I will post this so that at least something is up.
Okay, maybe not since the website wont let me post right now.

First Friday of Spring 09'
Well, well, here I am, back at school. Sorry to say that spring has not arrived yet and we have had clouds and rain for the past week. Therefor I have not uploaded any new photos as it is rather gloomy out.
This quarter is turning out quite nicely so far. I have classes MWF from 9-6 but on TR, I have only one class. I am taking a larger load this quarter with:
Physics E&M (third part in Phys series)
E&M Lab
Macro Economics (an interesting class that is a continuation from last quarter)
Engineering Statics (an engineering math class, dealing with objects that are not moving)
and a intro Music class (an easy class where I get to listen to a bunch of classical music)
For those of you who don't know, I am planning on moving off campus next year and am working on getting a house together with about 12 guys. It should be really fun as well as very growing. There is a lot of logistics to figure out still but I am still really excited for it.
That's about it for now...

Wed, March 4th
Updates...two and a half weeks until witer quarter is over. I am excited to get a break but ext quarter will have pretty similar classes. I am planning on taking the last class in the physics serries as well as the second part of economics. Hopefully I can get into an engineering class, specifically Enginerring Statics. Classes are going well although I find that my Accounting class is very uninteresting and so it is difficult to do the work required for the class.
We (Bryce Mitchell, Dan Hancock and myself) went up skiing last Thursday at Mt. Baker and they had just had two feet of fresh snow. It was pretty amazing and it was once again sunny and blue skies.
Our Core is going well and yesterday we had a great time starting a study on the book of Galatians. Many of the guys are really getting interested and more involved and friendships are developing into this great support group.
Myself and 6 other people have been in the process of starting a full time prayer team ministries for CCF and last week was our first go at it. It started out really well and now each week we have a prayer team at CCF for after the service. We have prayed for quite a few people and it has been really great to see the positive effects its had on them.
That's about it from up here. Over spring break my tentative plan is to drive down to Redding California and spend a couple days with some friends there and then drive the rest of the way down to San Diego and spend a few days seeing people down there. Then, I will get in the car and drive back up to school for another great quarter at Western. A spring quarter at that so the skies will be blue and the weather warm. :)
