Wrap-up

Christmas break has officially started. Yes! This quarter went well and I enjoyed my roommate alot. This morning I took a friend to the airport and it was freezing outside! Below 30 degrees not counting the wind. There is snow up on the hills behind Bellingham and Mt. Baker Ski resort just opened.
This was taken this morning while I was driving to the airport.

Last Friday was the CCF Christmas party. Our core went to the Goodwill and acquired Christmas sweaters for the event. Here is our group in full costume...with a Santa wanna be.

No-shave November

Dec. 1st...The last day of No-Shave November. Here are the guys who went the whole time.

Also, 3 days ago, was our tri-annual dead week run. We had a great turnout from Edens, not so good from Higginson...There were about 10 guys and we hitched up our loincloths and ran through campus at 9pm yelling and screaming. It was awesome and that is all that needs to be said on that. (no pictures for that event, sorry)

Thanksgiving

I spent Thanksgiving this year with Jon Pennington (my roommate) and his brother and friends at his house in Chelan WA. It was great. No stress, no obligations, nothing to do but eat, sleep and relax. There was only us guys there so we cooked our own Thanksgiving Dinner and stayed up late playing games and watching movies.
Now its back to school for two more weeks and then I am free for Christmas break! Yes!

Christmas break Folk dancing

I was asked to post this on my blog in the hopes of spreading the word. I don't know how many people actually look at this site so I am not sure how well this will work.

So over Christmas break there is going to be a folk dance in Templar Hall at Old Poway Park. It is open to all families and should be a really enjoyable time. It will most likly be January 2nd but not for sure yet. More definite info as the time gets closer. I hope that a lot of people especially friends and family from CFS and HCS and the surrounding community can come. The more kids the more fun. Please let others know and invite them. This event is being put on by the Gambles with the help of other families. I really hope you all can come. I really want to see you all.

Hiking the Oyser Dome

Today Lodrick Williams and I hiked to the top of the Oyster Dome. It is a mountain overlooking the San Juan Islands. We got to the top right at sunset. It was beautiful but then the hike back was in the dark and we had no flashlights or jackets. Lodrick slipped and fell into a creek on the way back and I walked into a low hanging branch but other than that it was great.

Here is the view from the top of the Oyster Dome.

Nov. 14th, Avoiding studying...

It is Friday, 9:30 am and I just finished my second Greek Mythology test. I studied last night until midnight and then for an hour or so this morning. God was amazing, my memory and mind were so clear. The test went really well and I had very few problems that I had trouble with. Now, I have a Physics exam at noon that I need to study for but I am kind of burned out of studying and kind of just want to go to bed. Since I know I cant do that, I decided to procrastinate by writing here for a bit, checking emails and other non study related things.

Classes are going great up here and I am having a great time with all my friends. We went bowling last Sunday with our Core guys. It was quite humorous since most of us were bad at the game but hilarious to see our interactions while playing.
Intramural Soccer is over. We lost every game but it was still worth it.
The drawing class is going...I have had to purchase a lot of pens and markers but it is really cool what we are learning. Rendering drawings so they look photo realistic or at least more real than just a sketch.
Okay I really should go study now.
